Case Study – Bulbous Tip Correction

Spreader graft for Nasal Valve Collapse – Correction of Septal Deviation. 47 year old female complaining of prominent bulbous nasal tip, difficulty breathing in the right nostril and over–projected bridge and nasal tip.

Diagnosis: Bulbous tip, Right Nasal Valve Collapse and Over-projected nasal bridge and tip.

Before – Bulbous, Prominent, Asymmetric Tip       After – Reduced bulbosity and prominence.

Treatment: Open Rhinoplasty approach, cephalic strip, dome division, septal strut spreader graft, septoplasty and reduction of dorsal hump

Cephalic Strip – Dome Division – Septal Strut Cartilage graft.

Correction of deviated septum and columella through Open Rhinoplasty approach

De-projection and rotation of nasal tip – making nose look smaller and in balance with the rest of the profile
